Bay Area Carnivorous Plant Show & Sale
Saturday, June 6th 2015
Oakland, Lake Merritt Garden Center

A free event that is fun for the whole family and for those that think they have seen it all!

Come find out about how to keep your Venus Flytrap alive, and then stay to see the many incredible ways plants have learned to feed themselves insects and even small rodents.

  • Largest show and sale of carnivorous plants in Northern California
  • Carnivorous Plants for sale from many outside vendors
  • Carnivorous Plant Raffle
  • Rare Plant Auction
  • Plant Doctor

It's hard to imagine a pitcher plant that can hold two gallons of water, or a plant that visitors will lean over to smell the "flowers" only to find out it is a leaf with jaws opened wide looking for victims.

Great fun mixed with education for the kids, and more exciting than any plant show you have ever thought of going to. Come see how these fascinating and beautiful plants can be grown in your home and garden.
